Online Resources

Due to the Corona Virus outbreak and the precautions / restrictions that have been instituted both locally and nationally –  specifically, in terms of group gathering size and social distancing – our church has been forced to do things differently than normal. We are worshiping online every Sunday at 11:00 a.m.as well as sending out weekly Bible Studies and resources to you during this time.

Please know that the church office remains open and is functioning (under the necessary precautions) business as usual. Those who have had surgery or who are sick are being checked in on daily, benevolence needs are being met, etc. Though it will look a little different, know that we are here for you. If you have a need or no someone that does, please let us know.

Below we plan to log all of our updates, services, as well as any Bible Study and/or other resources that we publish during this time.

In these uncertain days, please know that you are loved and that God is sovereign and ruling with love and care for you.

Corona Virus Updates

March 18, 2020:

Online Services only on March 22nd and March 29th – While we long to worship in person here in the sanctuary, we recognize that it is important to maintain social distancing standards recommended by the President and the CDC.  Please take the time on Sunday at 11:00 to join us online via the church Facebook page or later on the Church website as we worship the Lord in Song, Prayer, Giving and the Word.

All activities cancelled until through April 1st–  All activities scheduled at the church between now and April 1st are cancelled.  This will include the Youth Chili Competition / Dessert Auction, The Gospel Concert next Sunday and the SCHS Wresting Banquet as well as Wednesday evening activities.

DARE TO CARE –  At this point in time we are still planning to serve the community through Dare to Care on Thursday March 26th with special accommodations regarding the safety of volunteers and participants.  We may need extra help for the distribution so please reach out to the church office if you are healthy, willing and able to help that day.

March 13, 2020:
Highlights:

After much prayer and discussion we have decided to cancel in person services at FBC and instead invite you to attend through our Facebook live stream.

This decision was not reached lightly and while there is still much more to learn about COVID – 19 our desire is protect the must vulnerable in our congregation as well as our community.

While I am discouraged that we will not be able to attend together in person, I feel that this is the most prudent and wise decision considering both what is known and unknown, as well as a necessity to protect our flock and fellow neighbors.
Let me encourage you to do 3 things this Sunday:
1. Watch the service with your family.
2. Consider worshiping the Lord through your offering by use of online giving. This is a wonderfully easy process on our web page; please make use of the opportunity if it fits you.
3. Don’t get used to this- Lord willing we will be able to gather together soon in person.
