First Baptist Church Family and Friends,

I cannot say enough how much I miss seeing you. These recent weeks and months have been challenging as we have not been able to gather together and worship as a faith family. I think that we have all perhaps learned, as I have seen written somewhere recently,  that the church is not a so much a building that we long to be in but a people we long to be with.

To that end, this below you will find a letter from myself outlining the thought processes that went into the decisions / procedures that we have made in regards to when/how we will re-gather. Additionally, there is a document that outlines what you can expect for our in person gathering and provides answers to questions that you may have in relation to our service. This plan has been collaborated on by myself and others within the church and seeks to the best of our ability fulfill federal (click here) and state guidance (click here), create a safe / comfortable environment, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all.

As your pastor, I want to be abundantly clear that each person should evaluate their own health and comfort when it comes to re-gathering. During this time of pandemic, there is no wrong answer, you must simply do what you feel is in the best interest of your health and comfort and we encourage any one who is considered in a vulnerable category to continue to take advantage of worshiping online with us.

In order to ensure that we have adequate seating/spacing, please respond if you plan to attend and how many of your family will be attending  to the church office at 502 477 8197 or email Pastor Chance by Wednesday May 20, 2020.
